DEVELOPMENT PLANS
For the months of November and December 2023, GraceLife London are raising funds to address two projects at the Woodbridge Chapel:
Stairwell Repair
First off, we need to commit £14,000 to a repair of the staircase for the basement fire escape. Over the years, the top cement slab has become compromised, which is causing leaks into the neighbouring building as well as weakening that fire escape. We have teamed up with the management of the building next door to bring a team of contractors to do the job, and are splitting the bill with them. This is a necessary project to maintain the building and provide the necessary safety in case of an emergency.
Kitchen Remodel
Second, we hope to raise £10,000 to remodel the chapel’s kitchen. The hope is to modernise the appliances, including adding ovens and a hob, as well as a larger refrigerator. In addition, new cupboards will be installed, along with new worktops, flooring, and better rubbish storage in the garden area behind the chapel.
THE NEED
The first project is a necessary cost—we’ve already committed to paying it, but it will currently be paid out of committed funds unless we can raise enough to cover it. The kitchen remodel would allow us to expand the ministry of hospitality at GraceLife London, something we’ve desired to do for a long time.
